The first Bond film was created and produced in 1962 Dr. No, featuring in Jamaica. Up to 1985 all the Bond films cover and advertising produced was illustrated based and then digital modified.
The Vintage and possibly even a 'Pin up Girl' appearance can been seen as a theme in the early productions on the James Bond Movies. The Main conventions are Bond himself, Bond Girls, the logo and a Gun. These are a must. All of the poster have a strong sexual appeal aimed at males, to entice the audience. All the bond girls a provocatively dressed with Bond in a black tux.
Reflection: The idea of Illustrating for the final piece appeals to me. The influence from the original Bond films and the 'vintage' appearance i believe may work well as Fan art; taking the new film Spectre back to the original Bond roots. The Bond girls have a major sex appeal and it's very simplistic which will influence my competition piece for Electric Cinema.
